Frequently Asked Questions – Ford Ranger 2018 4×4 Decal Kit

Q: Will this decal fit all Ford Ranger models?
This kit is specifically designed for the 2018 Ford Ranger 4×4. While it may fit similar models, we recommend double-checking dimensions before ordering if your ute is from another year.

Q: What vinyl is used for the decal?
We use premium-grade calendared vinyl with permanent adhesive backing. It’s rated for 7+ years outdoor durability, with UV and water resistance. Ideal for New Zealand conditions.

Q: Can I install it myself, or do I need a professional?
You can absolutely install it yourself! The decal comes with application tape and instructions. We also include a quick install guide (see product description) to make it easy for DIY users.

Q: Can the decal be repositioned?
While the vinyl is pressure-sensitive, it is not easily repositionable once applied. We recommend planning the placement with masking tape before fully sticking it down.

Q: Can I apply this decal to a vehicle with a ceramic coating?
No — the adhesive may not bond correctly to ceramic-coated surfaces. If your vehicle has been coated, we recommend professional installation or testing a small area first.

Q: Do you offer custom colours or styles?
We sure do! Contact us with your colour preference or custom design idea — we’ll let you know what’s possible. A small design fee may apply.

Q: Do I need to clearcoat over the decal?
Nope! These decals are designed to look great and last long without the need for clearcoating. Just apply and enjoy.

Q: What are the shipping options?
We ship New Zealand and Australia –wide in secure packaging. You can choose tracked courier or pickup from our Invercargill location.

How to Install – Ford Ranger 2018 4×4 Decal Kit

Installing your 4×4 decal kit is simple if you follow these basic steps:

1. Clean the surface thoroughly
Ensure the area is free of dirt, wax, and oil. Use isopropyl alcohol for best results. Do not apply to freshly waxed or sealed paint.

2. Plan positioning
Hold the decal (with backing paper) in place with masking tape to check alignment. Measure if needed.

3. Peel & apply
Peel the backing paper away slowly while applying the decal using a squeegee or soft cloth, starting from one side and working across.

4. Smooth it out
Use an applicator tool or a squeegee to remove any air bubbles. Take your time around edges and raised panels.

5. Wait before washing
Allow adhesive to cure for at least 24 hours before washing the vehicle or exposing it to rain.

Vinyl Type and Durability

We use premium-grade calendared vinyl designed for exterior automotive use:

• 7+ year outdoor durability (UV-resistant and waterproof)

• Permanent adhesive backing (strong bond to smooth surfaces)

• Air-release technology (helps reduce bubbles on application)

• Suitable for gloss or matte finishes

• Compatible with curved surfaces and mild contours
